Bear - HUSKY AND LEGENDARY

Although the last bear in Bavaria died in 1833, his memory is kept alive in many myths and stories. As a cuddly teddy bear, he has a secure place in the hearts of both children and adults.

The relationship between man and this fast and strong predator has always been tinged with fear as well as wonder. The adaptable and, usually, shy giant has no natural animosity towards humans.

After a WWF supported resettlement, there are now about 25 bears living in Austria. It is also likely that brown bears will return to Switzerland. The bear is not very particular about its habitat, as long as there is enough food and places for its winter hibernation. Now it is up to us, whether we want to make the bear’s return possible. The future of the bear is a balancing act between Knut and Bruno.
