Sankt Oswald-Riedlhütte

Welcome to the National Park community of Sankt Oswald-Riedlhütte, in the heart of the Bavarian Forest. This is the place to get away from the hectic pace and noise of modern life, find peace and space and get to know a new landscape, uniquely placed in the centre of the Bavarian Forest National Park.

Riedlhütte is the starting point for hikes via the Rachel mountain hut to the top of the Rachel as well as to the Klosterfilz, the largest complete high moor in the Bavarian Forest. In the centre of the village of Sankt Oswald, it is possible to get to know the village’s mascot, the deer, in the animal enclosures located there.
