Kvilda

Kvilda

Kvilda lies 1,095 metres above sea level, in the midst of the picturesque high meadows of the Bohemian Forest. It is one of the highest altitude communities in the Czech Republic. Amongst the most important natural features are the moors. Today Kvilda is one of the most important tourist destinations in the Central Bohemian Forest. The area is ideal for cycling in summer and for enjoying the well prepared cross country trails in winter. Close to Kvilda is the border with Bavaria and the source of the Vltava. The unspoilt nature around Kvilda has been part of the Sumava (Bohemian Forest) National Park  since 1991. The Park provides activities and relaxation as well as an unforgettable experience for nature lovers.
