Borová Lada

Borová Lada is situated high in the Bohemian Forest, 900 metres above sea level. Close to Borová Lada, the Thierbach joins the Small Vltava to make the Warm Vltava.
Although it has a population of less than 300, the area of Borová Lada which includes Nový Svět and Svinná Lada as well as the former villages of Knížecí Pláně, Zahrádky, Černá Lada, Šindlov and Paseka, is very large, at nearly 7,000 hectares and is partly located within the Bohemian Forest National Park with the rest located in the Bohemian Forest Nature Protection Area. 
The natural beauty of the surrounding area makes Borová  Lada an important tourist center in the Bohemian Forest.
